Did two redemption today. Was hoping to use the 20% coupon from snail mail but the system declined it. Will do one more redemption tomorrow!

    Redeem 25,000 points for $50.

This sounds too good to be true.
Is this coupon only valid in quebec?

It doesn't look like they are offering the pre-sale this year. When I checked out their site, it's just ads for upcoming games http://www1.shoppersdrugmart.ca/en/f...me-on/products

I did 2 SDM shops today - one for around $40 OOP - got points from Normaderm -8000 (was on clear out for almost half price), plus 6000 WUS $20 on snacks (cadbury, chips etc) and 8000 pts WUS $40 (to be added later) ....

then I did a shop for a 25000 redemption $50 - purchased $55 worth of stuff - mainly grocery--milk, cheese, pepperoni, water, pasta, juice, coffee, tuna, cereal, dish soap and lots of crest 3D (1.99 with the 1.50 off coupon - last day for the coupon is tomorrow) ....

Not brilliant but nice and easy and stuff that we will use now rather than stockpile

What I don't like about their redemption rule is that the manufacture coupons will not go towards paying the tax. A lesson learnt from the past - I picked out $85 of stuff (with an extra $10.2 in tax) and wanted to use $5 in coupons, when I redeemed 50,000 points for the $85 off, I was expecting to pay $10.2 tax - $5 coupon =$5.2 out of pocket, but no, the $5 coupon was counted towards the $85, so the merchandises were $85-$5=$80, and the tax was still $10.2 so the total out of pocket was $10.2. I didn't know that I should have added an extra $5 of stuff in the redemption to make up the room for the $5 coupon!

Redeemed $220 today. They were out of the tuna

We ended up getting 5 - Mach 3 8 packs for $19.99 each (a decent price) and a lot of cheese plus some misc. stuff. Bye bye points!!
