Has anyone tried the new dark roast coffee that Tim Horton's has been offering? Is it just me or does it taste like burnt coffee that has been sitting around all day?
Thoughts anyone? This thread is currently associated with: Tim Hortons

I tried it and I don't like the taste. My DH does though. I tend to be pretty fussy about my coffee. I know how I like it to taste and don't welcome any changes to it, lol. But yeah, my first impression was that it tasted burnt.

Well for me, I really like it. I dont drink very much Tim. anymore as I find it so strong. I try this one and oder like usual reg. and to me this one is not strong and have a smooth taste. I had prefer MD coffee over Tim. and one lady told me that if I like MD's coffee I was going to like this one. She was right, for me anyway...............................

Almost everyone in my office has switched to the dark roast, because it tastes more like McDonald's coffee (which we prefer too!) ... love that others have that opinion too!
Totally reinforces that we were not just brainwashed, LOL!... I'm earning $5-25 Amazon.ca gift cards EVERY month, are you?
P.S. ... starting to hunt for ShoppingChannel GC's with no minimum purchase ...

I find the regular coffee tastes burnt like it's been sitting around all day. The dark roast tastes EVEN MORE burnt and like it's been sitting around all day lol. Still gross and I rarely drink the stuff.

My hubby LOVES strong dark coffee. He has had the dark roast about four times now, and he had one where he didn't really enjoy it, as it tastes burnt. The other three, from our closest to us Tim's, gives Starbucks a run for it's money now, so he says. Is is possible that some Tim's just aren't making/ monitoring it properly?

I am not much of a coffee drinker, but I had the dark roast recently and it delivered such a kick which was exactly what I needed that day. It is nice to see Tims not staying stagnant but pushing the boundaries, go Tim Horton!

I love dark roast coffee, and I have tried Tim Horton’s dark roast coffee. But taste is not good of Tim Horton’s new dark roast coffee. However, I will suggest McDonald's dark roast coffee for all coffee lovers.

I'm not a coffee drinker myself but I have several coworkers who have tried the new Tim Hortons dark roast and they say McDs is better.

I think it's great. It was a bit harsh at first but once you get used to it it tastes awesome, the taste is vaguely similar to McD's Coffee (Which is a good thing)
