Hi! My name is Jimena and i'm an industrial design student. I made a project with a friend and it wasselected for a design exhibition. We were just told that with our designs we are also participating on a contest to win a full scholarship for a summer course at Domus Academy, Milan. Here's an explanation of my design:

This project began with a deep analysis from M.C. Escher's work, in which he played with architecture, perspectives, and impossible spaces, showing a fascinating reality that isn't always comprehensible at first sight.
With his work, Escher doesn't address the rational and logical part of our brain, but to the subconscious' oneiric world, making the viewer go deeper into a magical world that is nevertheless real and believable.
This set of furniture, named after M.C. Escher, was made with maple wood and corian, and it's our interpretation from the perspective's game that was emphasized in his work, but this time, applied to an object.
