My rant today is my eczema left hand, I am not supposed to picked at it, but alas my hand is very itchy, I cut out dairy, and since I have a sweet tooth, my skin takes the toll. And I moisturized my hand with cortisol ointment and I prefers natural, should I stick with the free cortisol cream which my doctor prescription or go to Finlandia pharmacy to get the ointment there? Thanks! I wanted a good looking left hand

Try using coconut oil. It has decreased the eczema on my elbow from 100% to 1%.

shea butter, brazil nut oil, coconut oil, allergy medicine. Long term use of cortisol cream is harmful to skin. Also try using non-fragranced product (bath gel, soap, moisturizer).
Try different products see if it helps especially product made for sensitive skin. I used to buy Softsoaps handwash and it makes my skin itches, also Olay soaps...takes me a while to figure it out.

For me, coconut oil didn't work for my eczema (but was fantastic on non-eczema-affected skin). Lubriderm Intense Dry Skin Repair (gold coloured pump) sometimes works. Cutting out gluten really helps. Also the Hemp Hand Protector from The Body Shop seems to work. Right now it's 3 for $33 at the Body Shop, so a good time to stock up. Plain olive oil also works!

Oh you poor thing you! I don't have eczema but I do have SUPER sensitive skin and always suffered with dryness/redness/even burning after using different products. I second the coconut oil... LOVE this on my skin. I also now ONLY use Avene products. Since switching to Avene a few years ago my skin has been so so happy. You can purchase this line through Shoppers (this is where I buy it). I have not used any other cream since. I believe there might even be something through Avene specifically for eczema. You might even find some samples to try first. A little pricey but WELL worth it in my opinion (plus you can redeem/earn points for lovely skin care products). Hope you itching eases really soon.

I get dyshydrotic eczema (blisters) on my elbows. It's worse than regular eczema because the blisters can scar, I've been using zinc cream (diaper rash aveeno one ) and it calms it down

How long have you used the prescription? I had eczema as a child and the prescription cream cleared it up for me. I remember using it for a long time though
Now it's just allergic itching but thank the lord it's not eczema
