My son wanted to pick out things from the flyer like mommy does. His first picks were chocolate milk and cookies (lol).

    OMG. That's SO cute!

I've had my kids parade around the aisles on the hunt for coupons for me.

They've also become rather frugal shoppers themselves--debating whether or not a purchase is "worth it" and utilizing online resources to comparison shop for the best deal...so I guess, yeah, they do mimic....but it's not nearly as cute as your LO circling the flyer.

Aw, and he chose both which were at good prices!

My son shopped with me right from when he was a baby, and he helped out as he got older.
All those years of him shopping with me paid off - now that he's on his own, he uses coupons, shops for bargains, knows his prices, etc.

lol milk and cookies, great choice!

My 4yr old son does that too. He takes a look at flyers and tell me what he wants me to buy (I want this, this and this), then would say things like "this is expensive". Anything less than .99c he would say buy, above that it's too expensive lol.
We were shopping at Costco the other day and was at the till, he reminded us that we forgot the milk.
It's great to get kids involved in grocery shopping imo.

Our daughter is only 2, but she loves looking at the flyers and points out what she thinks looks good. She also likes the McDonald's coupons because they're like a little book. With pictures of, well you know, those things you use to scoop ketchup into your mouth!

Ever since LO was 12 months, she thought it was hilarious to see me circle things in the flyer. I give her the glossy flyers to flip through and I still circle things in front of her to make her laugh. She really wants to get her hands on my pen and do it herself.....

My 6 year old loves couponing with me...We went on sunday to get free mouthwash and he wanted to be the one to "pay" the cashier...he was so excited when the cashier told him that he actually helped mommy make money by buying the mouthwash...he helps me organize our shopping trips and organize our grocery list...my 3 and 2 year old watch for coupons when we all go together.

My 4 yr old son has shopped and couponed with me since he was an infant. He now has a coupon wallet from Dollarama and I have given him some expired coupons to play with. He gets excited like I do when the flyers arrive and we go through them. He loves shopping with me and finding coupons in the aisles.
