I am taking a name poll. IF I get a new mastiff puppy, what should I name him?

    RASPUTIN or JÄGER

A breeder contacted me and said that I was approved to have one of her pups that are available!!!!!!!! Little jäger will be coming home Dec1st! And I will post photos when he gets here

Both are very cool, but I think Jager would be easier to say when you call for the dog - plus it means hunter.
Practice saying both aloud - in phrases you would use with dogs.

By the time you yell Rasputin he could be half way down the street lol.

I always judge by how it will sound when I am standing on the front gallery yelling for the cats to come in. Although if you have no neighbors it doesn't really matter does it?

    I like Jager also

I was also unsure of how you were pronouncing it. Totally agree with the longer name becoming a mouthful to blurt out when he dashes off, but what do I know though with cats named Claudius and Hamlet eh? ha ha

Well, we tend to shorten names and Rasp/Raspy - no good. "Putin" .. . .well, need I say more?

I've always let my pets decide their names. With Lily dog, she didn't like the name she came with and ignored the names my folks and I came up with until my Mom said "Lily" and she reacted. Same thing with Quincy cat (I had a shortlist of names Quincy was the name he liked and meowed to).

See which name the baby likes best. It might surprise you.

Oh and congratulations on the new addition! I'm sooo jealous (I have puppy fever from all the new young canines in my neighbourhood).
