Yes, this is a brag!
I haven't used a coupon in over a year! For those of you that remember I posted a brag about a year ago where I gave away 90% of my stockpile to family and friends who I support. I supported 12 houses throughout the year with all of my couponing. I was an extreme couponer but due to circumstances beyond my control I could not do it anymore.
I was often (probably like many of you) called a hoarder due to having shelves full of goodies. I gave 90% of it away and lived off the rest for the last year. I had about 2 shelves worth if items and about two weeks ago our city did a food bank drive and I filled four bags worth of stuff. Stuff that I have had for over a year and didn't use and wont in the near future. Now, I am down to my last shampoo, deodorant, cleaner and smellie and you know what... I am so happy about that.
Stockpiling has taught me so much. Because of some circumstances within the last year if I did not have my stockpile I have no idea what we would have done. It saved my family throughout the last year when there were times I know we would not have been able to afford to go to the store and buy it. It really made me think of the true value couponing and how much I really can help people and just how much it does help me.
So my brag is this..
My stockpile is gone. Throughout the next year I will start to build it back up while keeping everyone updated and post as many brags as I can. I have now taken over the responsibility to shop for 15 households which consist of 4 infants (under 3), 7 children (under 12), 5 teens (under 18), 34 adults.. oh and countless animals. I will also buckle down on my donation items and donate as much as possible.

It is wonderful that you are able to use your couponing skills (because they really are excellent skills to have) to help so many people!

Don't forget to treat yourself during your next stash challenge! Even organizers have to put their feet up, daydream and take it easy now and then (plan it into your calendar if that is what it takes to remember "you"). Nice perspective you have based on your experiences!

When i read the title i thought "OMG! That's a horrible news!". But after reading your brag i think you are a very nice kind hearted person to not only take care of your family, but also take care of other families. This is not an easy job to provide for so many families and donate that much stuff. Awesome brag!

What a great brag. 15 houses will be better off because of you. Keep us posted.
Thinking of opening an ING account use this number 35728975S1 and both of us get a $50!! dollar bonus.
