I just asked for the list of ingredients for this product on the Gaylea FB page, ( could not find anything online myself ?) this topping sure sounds like a wonderful option for lactose free and vegan options.

Wouldn't try it on pumpkin pie, I don't think coconut would go with it - just by my taste.
Some other desserts, maybe.

They just responded to my question on FB, here is what is in it....not too bad but I cannot pronounce or even know what some things are....as usual lol!! I think as a treat I might try it once, I do love everything coconut!!
thank you for reaching out to us.
The ingredients for our new Real Coconut Whipped Cream are Coconut Cream, Water, Sugar/Glucose-Fructose, Mono and Diglycerides, Carrageenan, and Xanthan Gum. If you have any other questions please let us know.
Warm Regards,
Gay Lea

Nevermind......I JUST looked up what carrageenan is, not for me. The last thing I need is something adding to my inflammatory conditions.

yes, lecale - chocolate, like chocolate pudding cake - or either of those.
Ooo, or with banana or coconut cream pies...
Hm... now that I know it's lactose free that's a whole nuther thing... I was assuming it was coconut whipped cream, as in flavoured by.
Lactaid tablets are pricey to take for me, so there aren't many desserts that they are worth using for.
Exception this time of year is pumpkin pie with real whipped cream - the regular type.

Coconut is totally trendy. There is coconut on everything now. Sounds like a tropical vacation! I don't eat whipped cream but maybe I will try it on a non-pumpkin dessert (I think two powerful flavours would be competing in your mouth).

thanks for that detailed info lecale, but I will still not be eating it. ( the new whipped cream ) This stuff ( carrageenan ) irritates anyone with a bowel disorder, so when you say oh it might make you fart that is pretty glib if you have no sensitivity or illness. I do not have the desire or energy today to research the facts you posted about 1 single person causing hysteria over this, but I do know that because so many processed things damage the intestinal tract I often look ( at the ingredients ) before I leap.

SO has anyone actually tried this stuff? Lets say I do not have a problem with Lactose... is it tasty for everyone or is it only tasty for those who do not have the option of regular, delicious whipped cream?

make your own, it is easy and yummy. Get either coconut cream (in boxes in international food sections or health food stores) or get a can of full fat coconut milk and put it in the fridge overnight. Use the hardened cream (use the remaining water or throw away), add a bit of vanilla and your choice of sweetener (i use maple syrup) and mix (you can whip it...) Must be kept cold or it will melt.
Just google coconut whip cream, most paleo websites will have their own version.
It does not taste overly coconutty...if at all.
