This is the same as when people misuse their Johnson's Baby fpc coupon on ANY Johnson & Johnson products (Nicorette, Neutrogena, Aveeno ect). Smucker's is a brand for jam.

I saw one brag in the main section that was already edited (thank you mod Anne D!). I reported the second one posted in the "What's your best deal this week?" thread. If that remains up after 24hrs, I'm going to link it here plus post a reply in the original thread. Enough is enough!

Hi, I saw so many post invited people to use this coupon even in carnation hot chocolate, I think the misuse of this coupon is because stated "any smucker's product", I wasn't sure, so I look for the website and they have there even milk carnation listed in the products. See link behind. I really I'm not sure to use it, I don't want to misuse. Any opinion is appreciate. Thanks

from my understanding of the coupon, it is referring to the brand "Smuckers". The Smuckers Food of Canada/J.M Smucker Company has different brands under it's wings - such as Carnation, JIF, Bicks, Crisco, Folgers etc.
If the coupon said "any Smuckers Food of Canada product" or "any J.M Smucker product" - you could use it on whatever brand/product you wanted.
However, since the coupon states "any Smuckers product" and "good only in Canada on purchase of brand/size indicated", it is referring to the brand "Smuckers" - which is jam, icecream toppings, jelly.

Oops that's what I meant. Smuckers Foods. It is quite clearly labelled. So I don't know how people have been getting away with it. Walmart will not be compensated for the misuse of those coupons which could end up stopping PM altogether (canadawide). And I would not be a happy camper if that happened.... 2 walmarts in my area have already stopped completely and I don't want the last one left to stop...
So to those that did misuse the coupons, please don't get SO defensive about it. It is quite clear that the coupon is not for the carnation milk. Just accept it and move on and don't promote others to do the same. Cashiers are held liable for accepting wrong coupons too... So if you think you're getting something for free, it's at the cost of someone's job....

Well, Smucker Foods (no s on the Smucker) is the company, but you're right, the coupon is for the brand Smucker's not the manufacturer Smucker Foods of Canada Corp
