Metro Upper Ottawa & Stonechurch Closing Nov 7

I was going to go in, but the parking lot was packed, and I had a teething 10 month old with me...plus crappy weather.
Oh well, my freezer and cupboards are already full.

I meant to go but I never did. I raced out to get paid for free toothpaste in PC points at fortinos this morning, and I got all the new coupons too . I think that's it for me today. you have to pick your battles LOL

For those who remember-wasn't this location a former Fortino's at one point? The reason that the store chain had a weekly bus service for local resident seniors to take them over to Eastgate for their shopping? The Fortino's store at Upper Wellington and Mohawk closed when the Upper James St. store was opened.
I seem to recall Fortino's had a site on Upper Ottawa.

It was amazing, even at 50% off some of the prices were still ridiculous. Sad to see the staffers out of work though.

That was like when Sobeys had a closing sale, they had 50% off but some prices were still higher than the flyer prices for Sobeys that week

Hence the reason they are both closed
I only ever go to ghese stores for one or two flyer deals or coupons lol

I can count on one hand the number of times I have been to Sobeys in the last year, and one of those was to the Ancaster Extra store when they had that crazy deal on pasta/pasta sauce!

Metro I go to more, partly because of the flash deals but also because the meat is fresher and it is opposite FreshCo anyway
