I think this would be the perfect name for them personally. I just about split a rib when I hear their commercials about how great their high speed is. Does anyone else have a problem with them? Any suggestions for a (waaaay) better service? I'm rural, btw.

    Xplornet's plans are pretty limited

If you have the starter one (1.5 mpbs) you could move up to a faster connection but something like Teksavvy would probably be cheaper than their faster connections

Holy cow....out of curiosity I went on Xplornet's website to see how much they charge (http://www.xplornet.com/plans-pricing/residential-plans-pricing/) and the speeds. I have Bell Aliant FiberOp 50MB/s download and 30MB/s upload and I only pay $76.45/month. I can't even image what Xplornet would charge for similar speeds.

Yeah, we used them many years ago at the cottage because they were the only choice up there at the time, it was like dial up LOL

5mbps shouldn't seem that slow, you should be able to stream etc with it. Have you tried installing another browser to see if something is slowing yours down?

I agree 5Mbps is a decent speed. How old is your computer? If a laptop, what is the make and model?

When i was in Rural SK i ended up going with a mobile internet stick and paying about 160 a month for unlimited usage. That was a couple years ago - not sure what sasktel offers for data plans on their sticks now. But it was definitely faster than xplornet
