Hi,
My sister in law is looking for a better deal than what the dealership has quoted her. She has a 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT & they are offering her 4x 15" Hancock tires( including rims) inclusive of taxes $972. Installation is $60, reg $99 ( extra i believe).Do you know of a better deal in the GTA or is this a reasonable price? Please LMK & thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers! This thread is currently associated with: N/A

For rims, I purchased 4 at Costco. Looks like the Elantra GT would be 199.96

Crappy tire is actually good for tires. You can easily look up the prices online. add $25 bucks per tire for balancing and refuse nitrogen in tires it's the biggest scam!

That sounds a bit crazy. I just did a search at a popular tire place and I estimate $767.52 including taxes, installation, Ontario tire stewardship fees, balancing, rims, mounting, balancing, and new valves. If her car is 2006 or earlier, the cost is less. I don't know if the area near York U is convenient for her though. I priced it for Hankook W419 iPike 95T XL tires, if that is what she's getting.
She should also ask about rebates as there are many going on this time of year. We're looking at the Michelin X-
Ice Xi3s, which are the highest priced, but with rebate, it brings the total down to the options in the mid-lower range for our car. DH drives 4+ hours each day on a highway famous for black ice so this was the recommended tire.Last edited by sweet sparrow; Thu, Oct 30th, 2014 at 09:34 PM.

Also... have you looked at tire prices in nearby Buffalo as a comparison?
