SO my local Target is after couponers; it is now either price match or use coupon. I asked on Facebook and Target clearly stated 'yes, you can use coupons when price matching per Target's normal coupon policy'. Here, I am talking about manufacturer coupons here.

I went there next day and I was able to price match AND use coupon. Then, one week later, I wen there again and they said that I cannot do that anymore. So I complaint again and then three days later, I went and I was able to price match AND use coupons. Yesterday and today, I was not able to do it anymore.

This yes-no is killing me! Sigh!

EDIT: Supervisor said that its a new policy and now you can only do one: either coupons or price match

I initially thought so too...but this is a supervisor's policy! I had asked every cashier today and the supervisor so I guess no more Target for me...I will HAVE to go to Walmart for price match [my worst fear]

    or screw couponing

They need to compete with Wal Mart & Costco & Amazon in Canada.

They have already lost a billion dollars in Canada , can't believe they still haven't learnt their lesson. This X'Mas season is absolutely crucial for them.

Can't believe they still don't have in Canada a proper e-commerce web site with online shopping etc or checking store stock or even a detailed inventory/price of the stuff they carry in their stores .

Pretty much everyone researches online before going shopping thesedays.

How do I do that? I am just a 'casual' couponer but I would appreciate if you let me know this! Thanks!

EDIT: I FOUND it...arggh this is annoying! [feeling chicken-y, I do not know if I can really fight off though]

These steps will be followed for price match when a guest presents a coupon(s):

    • Manufacturer coupons: Manufacturer coupons will be applied after the price match is made.

supervisor cannot make up their own rules, they don't OWN Target, they WORKS for Target. they MUST follow the head office's guidelines.

The store needs to honor the company policy or else what's the point of even having a policy if every store supervisor makes up their own rules?

That Facebook answer is your key. If you print it and take it with you to the store and they refuse, ask them if the Target Facebook person made a mistake.

Call and ask to to speak to the Store Team Leader (STL) They will straighten it out for you. Someone is probably confused about the policy

They did it again today! I bought the stuff anyway...This time, I talked directly with manager who said it was the policy not to accept coupon and price match...

But I thought of all of you who told encouraged me...I took my phone, went to the site and Facebook...went back and showed manager, who finally realized that I was right. Manager offered me to re-checkout but I was in hurry [assignments due] but I am sure it will not happen to me next time.
