Just ran to my closest SDM during my lunch break and bought the following:
Dove body wash x 2 @ 2.99 less $2 printable = 0.99 each
Vaseline lotion @ 3.49 less personal offer $3 = 0.49
Herbal Essences x 2 @ 2.99 less $3wub2 = $1.49 each
Oral B for me electric toothbrush x 2 @24.99 less $20 x 2 = $4.99 each
Subtotal before coupons = $65.43
Subtotal AFTER coupons = $15.43
Also used my personal offer for 20x points wus $50 or more!!! My question to fellow SC-ers...My regular points on the receipt show 620 for this transaction....but since my subtotal before coupons/tax was well above $50, I won't have any trouble getting the points, right? I'm only concerned because my cashier heckled me a bit about using the coupons, but all of them (except Vaseline) were manufacturer coupons using code 2001, so s/b treated like cash...right?
Fingers crossed! This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug Mart

No need to cross your fingers! You sure are going to get your bonus points. Whenever your regular points are atleast 500 it means you made a purchase of atleast $50.xx ( in your case you made a purchase of $62.xx ) and if you use your 20x coupon in that transaction you WILL get your points.
It doesnt matter how much did you pay out of your pocket. You paid a lot of cash in the form of coupons. Manufacturer coupons = cash = money!

The cashier heckled you?
Not nice.
You would think the cashier would want you back to spend money in that store.
If you don't spend, the store does not make as much money.
If the store makes less money, the cashier may get less hours.
The cashier should "hug you", not heckle you.

Congrats on your purchase, you'll get your 20x for sure.
I did similar transaction today and manager / CS won't let me use my 20x WUS $50 personalize email coupon. Said either manufacturer coupons or 20x SDM coupon. Tried politely explained to her but she won't budge, will have to call H.O. tomorrow ( I really hate doing that). My OOP total is less than $50. I really hate that store...will boycott it.
What really bugged me is she deleted my 20x coupon (without telling me) after she entered the manufacturer coupons. The 20x coupon was scanned and I saw it on the screen but after I paid, it's not there anymore.Last edited by Decaf; Mon, Nov 17th, 2014 at 11:32 PM.

I'm so sorry to hear that! Ensuring all stores and cashiers are educated on the nuances of their policies is difficult, and unfortunately sometimes it falls to us to share our understanding with them. Luckily, I'd read up on SC beforehand so I was ready to stand my ground when talking to the manager!

Great shop! I don't like using the 20X coupons because I worry about the points not being awarded. And sometimes the cashier won't ring in the coupon if they see that you spend less than $50 after the coupons. But based on what you posted, it looks like you will get the points.

Great shopping trip! I finally found the $20 toothbrush coupons but got shot down trying to use it at Shopper's. Super-pissed, but not surprised...the cashiers at the SDMs around here are ridiculous when it comes to coupons!
