I don't think you can get points on gift cards.
But remember that Visa gift cards have activation fees so your $20 gift card will cost more than thatApply every possible promo code to your cart, at every store that you visit (and get points for cash back on top of that?). It's sweet and easy with HONEY.

The only way to get Shoppers points is wait for there GF sale. Where they offer points when you buy GFs they do it every year. I am not sure if you can use Shoppers gift card to buy other gift cards but if they allow it I would do that.

Rexall is an Air Miles store but I am not sure about AM points on gift card purchases. Shoppers does not give out Air Miles. Hope that helps. I could not find a definitive answer on AM pts exclusions on the AM site. Probably need to see a Rexall flyer and read the tiny print on AM deals.
What torontogal12 said on prepaid visa cards-yes, read the fine print on the hangtag about activation fees. Might be better to go for a higher value card if the fee is the same?2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

No, you are being safe. I understand that is why some businesses are offering PayPal as a payment method for those not wanting to use their CC info online just in case the database gets touched by hackers or just to avoid any card info being used by other persons after doing an online purchase.
