I'd like to get back into donating to women's shelters, but now that I live far (we're talking a plane ride away, lol) from London Drugs, I find it hard without being able to stack coupons...any tips or suggestions?
It feels like coupons are more scarce where I live...
Thanks for any advice! This thread is currently associated with: London Drugs

Hi, Hon...coupons are rare here, too, unless I'm not looking in the right places...each Christmas we purchase a gift from PLAN Canada on behalf of our Grandson...I've yet to choose what it may be this year, but trust that whatever it is, it'll be a blessing for the recipient.
I was leary in the beginning to do that, but after seeing the movie, "Where's My Goat", I'm confident of the organization.
I also knit for charity...there are so many other ways to give...of your time, if you're lucky enough to have it...bless you for thinking of others...

I'm not a fan of large charities, it seems the reason for their existence (i.e., giving freely of yourself to help others) has gone by the wayside. If I'm reading the CRA numbers correctly, the Board members are paid roughly $2M for their efforts (I've known a few folks who are on boards and receive zero compensation).

Here's last year's tax return if you want to get into specifics on how money was spent:

(sorry, ladies, I've become a horrible cynic after spending years volunteering for large charities and seeing how donations are wasted)

HI, Andi....if you think that's bad, take a peek at the organization I worked for:

I particularly like the "OTHER" in their expense report of $868,231 (7%)
