A Positive Rant - Feel Free to Add

Perhaps a positive rant is an oxymoron, but here goes anyway.

We are on a well and recently we discovered that we had misplaced (lost?) the information about the well and learned that the well driller had died and the business no longer existed. Our only hope was that he had filed the information with the Ontario government. A simple Google got us to the right spot in the government and a phone call IVR instruction told us the three or four steps we could take on line (there was an option to talk to a live person) to request the information.

The form took about 5 minutes to fill out and send off and the automated response said we would get the report back within 3 to 5 business days if they had it on file.

Turned out they did have it and we got it by email the next day!

I complain about government as much as anyone, but this was competent, efficient service. Yay!

I did not know that well information was kept. Only if there was a water testing issue or maybe at municipal level if an old well is capped.

Finding a pkg of Arctic Gardens California mix during a sale at Fortino's. Think this is the second time in 2 years that I recall getting that mix when the brand is on sale. Thought shelf was empty but bent down and spotted the last pkg at the back tonight. YES-thank you Universe!

Also found-the Palmolive detergent (837mL original) $1.99 IN STOCK (usually never seen again if Friday shoppers bought it up)!!
