Check your redemption amount Small Glinch with GC promo for printer

Redeemed this morning for cannon printer $49.00 there is a promo where you get a $10 GC with purchase. The cashier told me she had to scan the GC in order to activate and that it would show up on my bill as first being put on and then coming off so it would not affect the balance. When I checked my redemption about though it didn't take off the full amount of the redemption- it $8.00 less. The cashier couldn't figure out why. The manager came and had her void the whole transaction and redo it without the gift card and this time it took off the whole amount of the redemption. They had to give me a $10 voucher instead of the GC because they had no way of scanning the GC without it affecting the redemption amount.

I picked up a printer with the same deal back in September/October. It never prompted for the GC. I pointed it out in the flyer to the cashier, who had to page electronics, who had to call HQ.

On the plus side, for me it was an actual $10 GC - none of that coupon stuff that expires.

And if you got the Canon MX472 (I think that's what is - the wireless one) it works great!
