I can't believe the ridiculous prices on furnace filters in stores here. Checking on line, I can buy 12 furnace filters (MERV 8) for $76.79 including shipping. Have any of you bought filters on line?

Yes they are crazy expensive. I haven't ever bought online but it may be something to look into

Haven't bought them online, but sometimes you can clean the filters, don't have to always replace them. Probably depends upon the type.

I'm sorry that I haven't bought filters online. But you can try it. If you find the furnace filter have any problems, you can return it.

I bought once online, it's much cheaper than those in the store beside my house. You should make sure that the store online have a good after-sale service before you buy in it.

The filters I buy are available at Home Depot. They have the same price online as in the store.

OK, I had not been very successful with finding a furnace filter that fits. I went to Home Depot twice to buy a filter that is the exact size as the one in my furnace. Finally, I called the furnace guy who installed this furnace. Turns out they sell filters that fit for about $6 a piece and they are much sturdier than the ones at Home Depot. Now why didn't I think about this before!!!

There are some good items online, cheap and convenient. Saving money and time. but you should pay attention to the quality, not all are good. Find a seller with after-selling services is important.
