Since I have been recuperating I recruited my daughters and we spent Sunday afternoon making homemade turtles and Swedish pastry cookies. My husband and I picked out our tree on Saturday and it is up but not decorated, hopefully he can put lights on tonight. It is usually my job but being on blood thinners I don't want needles scratching me! Wrapped the last of the presents and now it is time to tackle some much needed housework at a slow pace!

Did a little sewing to finish a project for a friend of mine for Christmas, wrapped presents, and watched all the NFL games I could squeeze in! And my Pack plays tonight, so all's well in my world!!
TG, no baking sweets here this year...with this injury and the fact that everyone seems to be on a diet, they're not getting done. Cheese balls, my quiches, and dips and dunks yes, but no sweets. However, I once again, absolutely WILL pick up a Shriner's fruit cake even if I'm the only one who eats fruitcake! Hah!
THEN, I shall diet again after the holidays.
Btw...do you have to go for blood tests every so often, too? My hubby's on thinners and used to go frequently, but now only perhaps once a month...

No Lynn I am on a new type that I don't have to have weekly testing, but I have been on that in past.Did you know target does the blood testing for warfarin right at the pharmacy, way easier than waiting in line at a crowded lab.Not sure if this is all Targets but mine does, such a convenience.

It was a busy long weekend. DH and I had Friday off too so the weekend consisted off as many Dr appointments as we could squeeze in, early Christmas with my family and then a day of shopping and movie night on Sunday... I could have definitely stayed in bed this morning!

Spent 1 night at the lake. Beautiful weather, not cold at all. Fresh air feels nice. Nice to get away from the hustle bustle of city life.

went to my first marlies game in ages. was a fun way to spend a sunday afternoon.
I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

Celebrated and spoiled 2 December birthday boys here with gifts ( it was not their actual day though because THAT never works ), shuttled offspring here and there, watched the Leafs WIN!! and cooked 3 slabs of ribs even though I had to do a complete fast to prep for a Monday procedure....ugh...that was torture not to eat any.
