US has the best donuts. Especially the ones in Jewish Store. Most of them are made by hands so worthy having a try.

Trader Joe's on Niagara Falls Blvd is great, I especially like their 'blister peanuts'. At Wegmans I love 'Yanceys Fancy' cheese curds (the Buffalo wing ones are so hot they burn your nose, too) and the Nature's Path toaster pastries that aren't available in Canada even though they're a Canadian company. The Granny's Apple Pie ones are yummy.

Here are some of my must buy items when I go shopping in the US.

I hate trying to icing cupcakes with jar style icing, so I always buy a few cans of the whipped style icing. I know there's 1 style in Canada but it's almost $5 a can! The Pillsbury are less than $2 in the US and carry lots of kinds/flavours.

    Cornbread!

Garlic cheese biscuit mix (super easy and yummy!)

Hershey Symphony - my fav chocolate bar!

Kool-Aid. My kids LOVE kool-aid and the US has way more kinds. I've picked up Peach Mango, Watermelon, Sharkleberry Finn, Pina-Pineapple, Berry Blue, Green Apple, Cherry Limeade and of course Black Cherry.

    Honey Nut Cream Cheese:

Mini bagels. They're just the right size!

Thanks for your suggestions, everyone! We got back last night. We were staying in a very small town that was pretty far from any big city so couldn't make it to Buffalo before the good grocery stores closed.

We did manage to get to a 24 hour Walmart near the small town. Didn't find much of the flavours you suggested (I did look) but did find a few new things to add to this list:

    Wild Cherry Pop Tarts http://www.poptarts.com/flavors/wild...us-wild-cherry

Mexican Chicken tortilla soup (I had it for lunch today. SO GOOD! Flavourful. Not Cilantro-ey. Not spicy. Not salty. Perfect. Wish I had bought a case) http://www.campbellsoup.com/Products...mestyle/120772

    Maryland-style crab soup http://www.campbellsoup.com/Products...itional/120842

Udderly Smooth cream (I know they claim to be available in Canada but I have never seen it. Ever.) http://www.uddercream.com

Mounds chocolate bar - Just like Bounty bar but with dark chocolate instead of milk http://www.hersheys.com/almondjoy-mounds/
Apply every possible promo code to your cart, at every store that you visit (and get points for cash back on top of that?). It's sweet and easy with HONEY.

I should also add that I did look at this Butternut Squash bisque, but decided against it because it has almost as much sugar as Coke http://www.campbellsoup.com/Products...yle/All/121255

The Kraft site had cheesecake spreadable cream cheese and I looked and looked for it down in New England... none to be had.

Also kept my eye out for Kernels popcorn seasonings that aren't sold here. The US site has way more flavours. Only found the bacon cheddar, which isn't that great.
