I just received 200 free Airmiles from my American Express credit card and the description in my AM statement is "Thank you bonus"



Amex card holder, do you recieved the same thing ?


I searched info about this bonus on my friend Google about this bonus without success

We mostly had AMEX for Costco. But in January, they will only take MC for credit cards, so we have that now, but didn't get rid of AMEX, mostly because they have bonus offers sometimes. A couple weeks ago I had a bonus offer, spend $1350 and get 700 Air Miles between now and March. So I dusted it off, spent that in a couple weeks.

I'm hoping it's not related, but today I had 400 'bonus miles' in my account from AMEX.

I got an email reporting 400 miles. I have been an Amex card holder for 20 years an have never recieved the offers others talk about. Very excited, I wonder if they are afraid I am going to cancel the card now that Coso has switched.

Damn , I just cancelled my Amex a few months back . Just have a MC & Visa now.

Wasn't using my Amex much , so got rid of it ..very few stores in my area accept Amex , and the ones which do are pretty expensive stores to begin with, so I rarely used to shop there.

I received bonus Airmiles too. Last year I had the promo spend $300 get 900 bonus Airmiles. I just redeemed the last of them for $10 at Metro on the weekend and then received the bonus ones the next day. Here is hoping for a great meat sale to get free meat

Earlier this year I had a promo to get 1200 miles if I spent a certain amount, which I did. Then we got the BMO Air Miles World Mastercard, they gave us 1,000 miles for signing up and another 1,000 to use it. And just a couple weeks ago, I got a promo to get 700 miles if I spent $1350. Did that too, waiting for those (which can take up to six months or something silly like that). Fortunately I had a $900 work expense that I'll get reimbursed for, so used it there. Sobeys here has also had promotions when you buy gift cards. My miles are building up again! Now that I read this, I think I have an Air Miles problem.

Shoot I just cancelled my Amex, and replaced it with the BMO Rewards World card, that waived the annual fee. 200 Air Miles would be nice. Looks like Amex was anticipating the whole Costco changeover debacle, incenting customers to keep and use their Amex cards. Did you guys receive that type of top-up in years previous?

I did not receive a bonus for 2013 but got like 300 or 400? for 2014. I have the bmo gold/world Airmiles but try to use the AMEX Platinum Airmiles the most. BMO has been pretty sucky for bonus offers the past year.
