Yeah but the problem is a) I can't prove she took it and b) I can't prove it was ever sent. Even with something like websaver it could have not actually been sent by them.
Pretty much CP seems to be good for nothing in this situation. I may amend my opinion later but I stand for the time being.Insert Clever Signature Here

This is so awful. Have you considered sending yourself a letter? Perhaps a birthday card (a pretty pink envelope to grab attention and a happy birthday written somewhere on the back?). A test so to speak? Bait? Be interesting to see if it shows up or not.

LOL you guys are so funny! It should be a dud giftcard in there. One that is empty because I already used it all. Maybe even two so its VERY obvious if it goes missing.

Wow this is very disappointing to read about. Earlier this week, we received the redemption from our soon to go Target Red Card, coming right from Royal Bank in a grey plastic envelope. The envelope is sealed with a sticky substance that is easy to open and re-seal. Needless to say, the $40 in GC were not in there. Royal Bank is sending us new ones but I'm leery about actually receiving them especially if this happens elsewhere (who knows with what regularity!). I asked them to ship it to a local branch but they needed a contact name and I don't bank there.
PB, please keep us updated on this issue.Kate

Yes... and on the gift card write "I know what you did at Christmas". Or "gotcha" or "smile you are on camera" or something like that.

if this is the only way to get your proof PB I agree you should go for it! It will be a sad day for her if she does take the bait.

UGH! This is why I hate Canada Post! I am not saying all Canada Post workers are bad, but, there are a few that make all of them look like scum! Good for you for reporting it. But I would for sure try the empty gift card and see what happens.

Actually I wonder if I should leave $5 on the card or something but record the card number. Wait a good time until its obviously been used and then go through the investigation of finding out who used it, at what store, when, etc. so they can look it up on the cameras.
Otherwise even with doing the empty GC there isn't any way to prove she is the one to take it as opposed to another CP member.Insert Clever Signature Here

I would do the empty card thing, I wouldn't waste any more money on this person who is stealing from you. I would do the empty card thing, because then, when they go to use it and it doesn't work, they are going to know you know what's up. AND it will make them even more scared. I think if you do a fear thing with this CP person, they will get the hint. And the fact you got the police involved and CP, I am sure they will investigate. Yes, it sucks because it takes time, but, i wouldn't waste more money for the stealing CP worker to use.
