Everything is on track here too but there will be a few changes for next year. Some inside changes on the house need to be done. CC's are all paid in full, Christmas is paid for, extra money in the bank and I still have a few GC's left. So all and all feeling pretty good about 2015.
Forgot that DH received a raise 2 days ago also.

2015 New Years Resolutions:
1) Do not incur any new debt So far so good. Paid for all my tuition and textbooks in cash (well on pc mc for points and then paid off lol) and paid for replacing our evestroughs out of the emergency fund. My SUV needed over $1000 in repairs so we kept it off the road for 3-4 months and saved to pay the bill in full.
There are still 2 bills we haven't paid yet because we haven't received the invoices yet: Replaced 2 windows in the house (unplanned but necessary as clips broke and one of the windows fell out) and the bill for repairing the trailer roof (found out it was leaking at the end of camping season). Between the rest of the $$ in the emergency fund and the $$ in vehicle repair fund there should be enough there to cover both bills.
2) Stick to budget for all categories Had to increase the grocery budget to $700 but otherwise all was good since we were able to lower the gas budget because prices have been so cheap
3) Continue to fund accounts for various expenses: car repairs, vet bills, vacations, sports for girls. Going to continue this in 2016 as it seems to be working for us I'm thinking of adding a Christmas account too for next year.
4) Start saving 15% of my daycare income every month for 2015 income tax and CPP $2296.15 saved in my TFSA (hopefully it's enough lol) and $900 in an RRSP.
5) Pay aggressively down on LOC $7,371.53 paid down from Jan to now. Still need to make Dec's payment next week.
6) Try to renew mortgage early in May (when 6 months are left) and get a better interest rate. Renewed in April (variable rate now 2.05%) saving us approx $200-$300 per month in interest
Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year's!!!Last edited by bobbiegirl2010; Wed, Dec 23rd, 2015 at 07:54 AM.

2015 Was a pretty good year for me and hoping 2016 will be good too. We plan on starting the year off being extra frugal so will be a great start to our year.

I'm going to be doing the 52 week challenge to save up some Christmas money for next year... it was way too stressful and way to expensive this year.
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur... happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr purr purr

My 2016 Financial resolutions
1. Save for items that need to be replaced (dinning room window and dehumidifier).
2. Start and finish powder room downstairs not incurring any debt.
3. Continue paper copy of monthly budget and use electronic google sheets as a ongoing rescource to update expenses as they are spent. Google spreadsheets are free (budget forms for monthly, annual or create your own etc).
4. Save up PC points, sdm points, swagbucks etc for Christmas gifts, it worked out extremely well this year saving us $1200 which otherwise would have been out of pocket.
5. Put all of dh's pay in a vehicle maintenance account until we are caught up on repairs (shocks $500, tune-up $250., body work $2000).2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!
