It just wont go away

2 weeks ago I got an ear infection that was severe. I needed to be on antibiotics twice as long as ususal and the pain was bad. Now 2 weeks later its became from a middle ear infection to an outer ear infection....it just wont go away

if you are concerned ask the doctor to recommend you get you an appointment to an ear nose and throat specialist

oh boy, well back to the Dr. for you ( or Specialist as Shwa suggests ) , hope they can get to the root of the problem.

Have you ever had ear tubes inserted to help with drainage, both my kids had to do this and it made a huge difference in the amount of infections they got. Pretty non invasive and easy fix.

Last year I had a really bad ear infection. BOTH my ears were infected, the pain was so bad it made me sick to my stomach. I was almost deaf for 2 weeks because my ears were so plugged. All I could hear was ringing in my ears and the sound of my heart beating. The ringing was so loud I couldn't even sleep for weeks.

Towards the end of my ear infection, the outside of my ears were sore and itchy. It took a little over a month before I felt completely better. Hopefully your ear infection wont last as long as mine did.
