Shoppers Drug Mart - Buying 5 tooth brushes is violation of their term leads to Account Cancellation
Our Optimum account plus years of accumulated Optimum Points is cancelled, the reason we were told that buying 5 tooth brushes is a violation of their terms, it exceeds its the household limit or something.
Long story short, we bought 5 tooth brushes in a purchase back in November 2014. Then sometime in December we found out our Optimum account is deleted when we called for other concerns.
There was no prior email, letter, or phone call informing us about the cancellation. We waited for more than a month before we were told that BUYING 5 tooth brushes is prohibited and our Optimum account is closed. This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug Mart

Under what circumstances did you purchase the toothbrushes?

Never heard of such a thing. You joined 2 hours ago just to get us going? I have bought multiple toothbrushes on numerous times. Plus I have a six family household.

I have preordered and bought many more then 5 of many different offers, I think the stores are happy that people shop at them and buy multiples of all items even toothbrushes. If the limit was 4 items then you automatically would have been charged the over limit price, your card would not get canceled. If this is legit and this happened please post more info with the details of how you allegedly misused their terms. What terms do you refer to?

Probably a coupon/points issue.
Or, OP is just a drive-by...

A good warning about reprinting personalized coupons.
This person has posted in other forums and one person has stated you don't lose your account unless there was fraudulent activity. This person stated they called SDM about other concerns and that they waited a month after buying toothbrushes before calling SDM.
Lesson learned here is not to commit coupon fraud.Last edited by sirandrewr; Sat, Jan 24th, 2015 at 09:30 PM.

I would also like more details. I have hesitated to reprint SDM emailed coupons and recently have not. I did a few times reprint for those deals I loved but the novelty has worn off and now tend to just redeem one time....but if it is related to misuse of coupons I would like to know...strange though to sign up today and post today and not respond yet to all your requests for more information

Could it be the Oral B $20 MFG coupon that was floating around? People were using it to get the toothbrushes for $0

So op joined sc, just now, only for a rant against sdm. And successful to grab enough attention. I'm wondering without being a member of sc. how many sdm points were there, lol
