Hi all
Not sure if this has been posted (didn't find it in the search function), but Air Miles is apparently coming to Sobeys in Ontario too. A cashier gave me a heads up today at Sobeys. Here is an article that confirms it:

I collect both Air Miles and Club Sobeys, but IMO Club Sobeys is much better.
Oh well, what can ya do?
See post #6 for full details including getting 50 Air Miles bonus for transfering Club Sobeys to AirMilesLast edited by FallenPixels; Mon, Jan 26th, 2015 at 12:15 PM.

DF said that Sobeys offering Air Miles would make him change his shopping habits- he seeks out Air Miles deals.

What is the going rate for Air Miles at Sobeys? It is 1 mile for $20 at Metro, so I'm assuming it will be the same.

Following the change from Club Sobeys to Air Miles in Western Canada, Ontario Sobeys stores will soon see the end of Club Sobeys too.
Club Sobeys will end in Ontario stores on March 27th. You can already transfer your Club Sobeys to Air Miles and if you do so before April 9th, you will get 50 bonus Air Miles on your transfer. When you set up your points transfer, your Club Sobeys card will be connected to your Air Miles Collector Card. Then, on March 26th your remaining Club Sobeys points balance will be converted into Air Miles reward miles at a rate of 1 Air Miles reward mile for every 14 Club Sobeys points.
Depending on the level you redeem your Club Sobeys points, you may make more or less with Air Miles conversion, so you may want to check and redeem your Club Sobeys before the transfer.
If you have a BMO Club Sobeys Mastercard, Earn Air Miles reward miles 2X faster at Sobeys by switching to the new BMO Sobeys Air Miles MasterCard. Switch by March 3rd and you will earn 400 bonus Air Miles reward miles. If you do not switch by March 3rd, you will be automatically converted to a BMO CashBack credit card on April 1st.
Click here to transfer your Club Sobeys points to Air Miles.

So 1 AM=14 CS (which means you spent $14 before taxes)
I bought a 99 cents can of pop at Sobeys on Saturday-no CS points appeared on my receipt.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

At the upper levels the rate for Club Sobey's points has been 125 = $1 so if it is a conversion of 14 sobey's points for $.095 then it is better to redeem now rather than convert the points. I believe it is at around $35 the rate changes to 125 = $1

Will probably be redeeming my CS points and converting whatever is left to Air Miles. Since they got rid of gift cards, I've had a hard time using my miles up.

You can purchase gift cards online with the points at the rate of 3200 points for a $25 card for sobeys (and they have others for various prices). I believe the Sobeys gift cards are good at freshco and I shop there far more often these days so it works better for me then trying to find enough items to do a redeem.
