So I ordered this today. It's a 'Breville All in One,' is an immersion blender, a whisk, a potato masher (?), grater, slicer.
I used Shop.ca for the first time since I got an email with a code for $50 off a purchase over $125 from Divine.ca. It was $122 tax in.

probably not, but it's just as easy and a lot cheaper to use a bowl of water and either vinegar or lemon juice instead.

I think that people have a lot of small appliances and gadgets nowadays. I had to buy one of those stainless steel shelving units to accommodate all of our things.

I could have used those gloves a couple of years ago when I attempted to take the top of my thumb off. (During a blizzard and no emergency vehicles.) We no longer have a mandolin.

I will not use the mandolin we have but my wife uses it and it is a scary kitchen item. Another scary item she uses is a meat slicer but without the proper handle. I keep telling her it is a matter of time.

I haven't used my mandolin for about four years - I was home alone, prepping supper and was slicing carrots with it.

Next thing I knew my husband and son were home - son was by me, holding me, saying Mom, Mom and shaking me - I was sitting at the kitchen table, thumb bleeding profusely - first time ever experiencing being 'in shock', he said I was totally out of it. There were tissues all around me, all bloody - and I didn't remember.

I went to the clinic the next day. Apparently I had needed stitches. And a tetanus shot. I googled stitches through a thumb nail... not a pretty sight.

I really did not think that thru, but I googled it and you are correct.
