What's happening in sdm world? No personalized emails this week, no spend points get points events anymore, no beauty redemption as it should have been the next week according to last year's flyers.......

Really weird going on.........

I was thinking of loading up on men's dress socks at SDM and using the points for my groceries but its a big investment.
2 pairs of Men's dress socks are $8.99 with 40x the points (flyer and personal). Walmart has premium dress socks for $4.
It's a better bargain but a lot money just waiting for redemption.

i was waiting for the 80k for $200 in cosmetics too! I am also willing to get a coupon for 35k points back on a 95k points redemption.

I'm hoping that Murale will still have the 80k for $200

It's Galen Weston Jr. that is running Loblaws & Shoppers Drug Mart (well there is someone handling operations for SDM).

I have not seen any beauty redemption offers. I got an e-mail about get 18,500 pt Feb 2 wus $75 on almost anything. Now, I don't have $75+taxes in disposable income handy so this offer is not of use to me. Not getting personal e-mails? I seem to get about three per week: the weekly flyer one with coupons, at least one pts offer for a certain day of the week and usually a third one.

I was really hoping for a beauty redemption too - time to stock up, and I wanted a new set of makeup brushes.

I'm not worried about them switching over to PC though - at least not until the Optimum program end date of 2016 (I'm hoping they'll realize the impact of the program and extend the date).

Ooh had no idea there might be a beauty redemption coming up(never really cared for most brands the beauty boutique sold, but I just discovered Benefit Cosmetics and I'm obessed)! Was going to redeem on Wed for some Benefit but I'm going to wait and cross my fingers that the beauty redemption actually happens.

My personal offers have only get bp wus x lately. Even my last offers I had bogo but outrageous prices. I used my last offer of 20x wus30. My pc offers are terrible too. I have purchased items that I could have earned maybe 100 points but no giving my card in hopes they improve.

I got personalized offers last week to make up for the non-promo ($10 off WUS $30) but none of the extra coupons. TBH I was quite happy to go with $10 off, got my usual milk etc that is cheaper at SDM and some stuff with in-store bonus points

Personally, I don't see that happening in the near future. Optimum is too popular and people scan their card every time giving them a lot of data while the majority of people do not use it like us and earn very few points.

When Optimum winds down, I'll hope that PC Plus will take on the donations option (the current PC Plus option is only for the PC charity and that's not really prompting me to part with points) and points tranfer option and provide them for PC Plus members. Or see a swandive in PC Plus card usage...
