Not sure how i can google this. From time to time, just when I'm on the verge of going into deep sleep, I have this feeling where i can't breathe or my heart is about to stop or both. The longer I hold this, the feeling becomes stronger causing me to jolt awake. I return to normal like nothing happened once awake. Almost feels like I'm about to die if I don't force myself to wake up. Sometimes it only happens once and sometimes it happens repeatedly 2-3 times before it stops and sleep normal. Does anyone know what this is? Hopefully this makes sense.

Sounds like you're about to go into sleep paralysis but are able to jolt your way out of it. Just google "sleep paralysis" and you'll get a better understanding. This usually happens when you haven't been getting enough sleep and your body wants to go into a very deep sleep.

I think you should see a doctor to confirm that you're fine.

This is either acid or night anxiety. I have had it before. I have both anxiety problems and acid problems. When you have too little acid in the stomach it spits up and causes everything to slow, including your breathing. Don't eat sugar 4 hours before bed and sleep with your head elevated.
Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.
