    I am an home owner, I bought my home 1.5 years ago now, when I file my taxes can I get a rebate for being a home owner who can I claim being a home owner?

    If you bought your home in 2013, I think you would have filed that last year? You can probably still get it. For first time home buyers, info is here:

    You can also apply for OEPTC - Ontario Energy & Property Tax Credit , I believe that's now rolled into OTB - Ontario Trillium Benefit and is a part of it , in addition to OSTC - Ontario Sales Tax Credit.

    You have to apply for it each year when you file your return, and its not automatic.
