Good morning, Avon. I just sent up prayers for your hubby, his surgical team and you, as he's being prepped for his 8am surgery this morning. I hope, being the first one this morning that there's no delay and he'll be in recovery and on his way to better health very soon.

I just received a response text from Avon, her hubby is in surgery now for 2 1/2 hrs, then 4 hrs in recovery....please send healing thought and prayers, I know she values and appreciates each and every one of them..thank you...

Hi folks! Thanks for all your support and prayers!
Although the DR said this ranked as one of the 5 most difficult procedures he has done, DH is resting comfortably in his room with me at his beck and call, of course. He's mostly been snoozing. Follow-up with DR in 8 weeks if all goes well.
Your support and messages have helped me to keep it together in these trying times. Thank-you so very much!
He'll be going home tomorrow if everything goes well.

btw...if you two need a giggle, go to the Chat-a-thon thread...a few days ago Dan asked me to post a pic of Jennifur in her yellow slicker. I finally did and judging by the look on her face, she was none too pleased to pose for pictures instead of heading outside!!

Hi, all! Well, they're home safe and sound through that awful ice-storm this morning, her hubby's resting quite comfortably thank God, and now on to a successful recovery! I'm sure she'll touch base when she's finally caught up with her sleep!

Thank-you again, everyone! We are now home and dh is behaving himself by following the instructions we were given at discharge (well, mostly! LOL!)
I was SO TIRED for the past couple of days. We had to get up at 4:45 on Monday am to get him to the hospital and although he got a nice little sleep for a few hours called surgery - I was watching his number move along the display on the board in the waiting room. I think, too, that the anticipation around this surgery and the relief that it was finally over and successful (at least at this point) just caught up with me!
We are getting our doggies back tomorrow and have planned how to keep them off his lap or at least "cushioning" his lap so that they don't hurt him, because, for SURE they will want to greet him in an ecstatic way!

Thank-you, again, folks, I couldn't have held things together as well as I think I have without your support!
I'll be hitting the sack early again tonight, I hope!
