FEDEX over charging

is it just me but every time we order from a us site and Canadian site .I end up paying extra charge even if the merchants says all duties and taxes are including in the price,twice this month one charge at the door of $17.95 and once with a bill in the mail of $45.98 ouch this is crazy ,I think merchant should offs an alternative Fedex is way too expensive did anyone has similar problem?

I'm not impressed by the other courier companies either. Unless I need it urgently, I tell the couriers to leave it at the border and I'll go get it myself.

If my gas tank is near empty when I get to the border.... the gas savings pays for my trip.

I have shipped with Fedex about 10% of the time. However, I just double checked my last three months of statements and I have been overcharged almost double on every Fedex shipping charge.
The charge shows up correctly on the order detail but the Seller Account Fedex fee is incorrect. I have spoken with Ebay customer service 4 times in the last month and it still is not resolved.
Very Frustrated!!!

They are adding for Duty a Scam so they can OverCharge. !!!

The way to beat this is have us site list as gift , a sticker you will have Zero bill. !!

Sometimes listing it as having NO COMMERCIAL VALUE helps.

I'm pretty sure gifts only get exempt up to 60.00, instead of the usual 20. I've been charged duties for stuff my mil sent for the kids even though it was marked as a gift.

I am honestly not a fan of any delivery service anymore. I have gotten damaged boxes, open boxes, and soaked boxes delievered to me and I paid extra for it. Such a shame.
