My mind is always racing plus I suffer from chronic nightmares so sleeping is always a challenge.

Because I have chronic insomnia, every night was basically like that. Except it didn't have to be problems weighing on my mind. I could be trying to think of a movie name, what I was going to do the next day, or any other line of thought. My mind would just click 'on' when I went to bed. The only thing that helps is an Rx the doctor gave me.

No problem usually...my head hits the pillow, I say my prayers and fall right to sleep for the night. These days, however, I'm coughing thru the nights and realize how incredibly exhausted this can be. I need my sleep! Every so often I get an ear-worm song that I can't shake; the other night it was, "My Way" by Frank Sinatra...where did that come from?! I enjoyed "hearing" him again, but could not get to sleep.

Some doc said when the mind is racing, have pen and paper next to your bedside, write down things on your mind and then try to sleep. In the morning, you have your list in case you need to take care of things that day or that week.

Yes I have trouble sleeping when something's on my mind. Usually I will get up and read a book or some activity for a short period.. Exercise helps me sleep and so does camomile tea.

no problem sleeping, unless I'm stressed or anxious about something the next day.

If something is important in the next day, I won't sleep well, I will be nervous about it.
