Russet potatoes. What can makeover?

Found a deal. 5lbs for .49 cents.
Would love to prep tons for the freezers as long as they don't taste like mush. Was thinking fries and home fries etc for the kids. Do I have to boil them before I put on the freezer? Any help/ideas welcomed!

Great find!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got almost the same deal the other at Arpents Vert on their green card. 10 lbs of potatoes for 99 cents.

I bought a few bags. Easter is around the corner and its our turn so at least 5 lbs will go then. But you know McCains or Cavendish fries their potatoes and then freezes them. Try a batch, freeze it and wait a few days and try them. I never did it but it must work. hope this helps.
