I am proud to read how strong you are. Depression sucks a$$. You are very lucky to have the friends you do. People always say if you need to talk I am here for but often are not. Getting the right medication is often very hard. The loneliness of depression seems unbearable....but you are never alone. Please always reach out for help. It's always closer then you think.
....just be happy

Thanks for "letting us in". I understand how isolating this illness can be and how hard it is to share it with someone. I've watched my mom fight Depression and PTSD for at least the last 15 years and more recently, I've been encouraging my husband fight in his battle with depression as well. Good doctors and psychiatrists are hard to come by, and even more so with the wait times in our health care system, so keep searching they are out there. I hope you continue to reach out when you need it. You are worth it! On those days when you feel weak and helpless, let your friends in, lean on them and remember that you are strong for simply fighting. Take care!

for sharing something so deep and personal with us.
Unfortunately depression is a disease that is rarely spoken of,yet it affects about 1 in 4 of us,myself included. The health care system is indeed lacking,I'm so sorry for all that you have experienced. You are fortunate to have a family doctor,I hope that between the two of you,the right medication(s)/solution(s) may be found.Usually it is a matter of trial and error,I'm still a work in progress too.
You are blessed to have a support network, use them.
If need be, contact the Ontario Mental Health Helpline http://www.mentalhealthhelpline.ca/ 1-866-531-2600
Indeed as you said, you will get better.Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

We are here for you Gryphon. You are a strong, handsome (yes I wrote it-we saw the photo, can't remember where but we did), intelligent obviously from your new job and young and so much going on - and your little foggy-turtle needs you too. I know of what you are suffering you can kick this thing in the behind.
Your friends probably had an idea already just waiting for you to mention it and ask for help. You are never alone and never will be. Take care dear friend and looking forward to hearing about your progress. Thinking of you.
