It's been a long time since I had my hair done. My friends DIL is a hair dresser and she has done my hair with a cut and highlights...I love her work. Unfortunately my finances don't allow me to go except for an exceptional treat. Since going to her I can't stand the results of my home highlights etc. I am over due for a good cut and whatever she can do about the colour and the grey. When I do go I always feel like it was money well spent...I feel so much better about myself. I don't know why I don't make this a priority for myself. I feel so much better when I go. I work in a warehouse...in a uniform..with mostly guys so it's awfully nice to look feminine on the weekend.

@SunandMoon I am JEALOUS of your hair. Can we say GORGEOUS?! When I had longer hair (not even close to that length) I opted out of visiting the hair dressers, not my thing. Now that I have to grow my hair back it's going to be a LONG time before I visit one again lol. Once I get shoulder length hair going on I may go to get a style cut and then it's on it's own. For a few years.

I go probably every 6 months, mostly due to being lazy and not giving a crap. I've given up on hair colour and I am just letting it do it's natural thing, which seems to be grey I take the kids for a cut every 2-3 months.

I alternate between buzzing mine at home (because it's free and I am incapable of giving myself anything other than a buzz cut), and going to the cheap hair dressers for an actual haircut (and getting mad because I spent $15 lol).
