Walmart Clearance Items

is it just my store, or are the really great clearance deals hard to find everywhere? On the blog there was a post about Sunlight Sensitive Skin laundry pods for $0.50, and when I went to my store I can't find them anywhere. The web says they are currently in stock, and from my experience the online inventory usually seems on spot. I asked someone in the dept but they just shrugged their shoulders and walked away.

Anyone know where these items might be found in store if they're on clearance? Do they usually move them elsewhere?

You're not alone. It's been rare that I have found any of the in-store clearance deals posted here, despite the website showing stock at my location. Walmart associates haven't been particularly helpful, either.

I have rarely seen clearance items at Walmart.

I went in search of the Sunlight deal and the store rep said someone came in the day before and bought all the stock. The deal wasnt posted until the next day so there b one save shopper in my town other than me lol, but I would never clear a shelf. Makes for bad karma.

I live by Walmart so I went immediately and I know a worker there - she said the store never got them or if they did it was an inside job - possible a worker got them

At my local store they were in the back room. I had to show the stock boy the UPC code from the Walmart site for them to find it for me.

Another thing about the clearance items is that if you can find the items, it shows one price on the website and when you get to the store, it's a higher price. Why????

I was at Walmart today searching for the sunlight, shows that location had in stock, but after 15mins the staff came out telling me his system is showing 12 in stock, but he just cannot find it anywhere in the back. So it might be ghost stock.

My Walmart told me that, even if the site shows in stock, an employee can take them off the shelf and reserve them for themselves.

The majority of stores don't have the crazy clearance deals you read about on smart canucks.

I've never seen clearance items at a Walmart. Ever

Don't worry yourself or spend too much time looking for those deals

My store also showed them in stock. I discovered a box sitting at customer service. An employee claimed them from the back already..boo! The CS guy told me that it is an item they will no longer stock.

Totally agree! They should put customers' needs first. Store employees should not be allowed to clear any shelf before the sale becomes available to all of the shoppers.
