Kofta Curry
Preparation Time: 40 Minutes
Serves: 2 to 4 Persons
Ingredients
For meat balls:
- 10-12 mint leaves
- 1 medium onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 500 gms fine mince
- 2 tea spoons salt
- 1/4 tea spoon ginger powder
- 1/4 tea spoon red chili powder
For Curry
- 1 inch fresh ginger piece
- 1 tomato
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 tea spoon ginger powder
- 1 large onion (thinly sliced)
- 60 gms oil
- 600 ml yoghurt
- 1/4 bunch Cilantro
- 150 ml water
Directions
- Chop the mint finely; chop one onion and 2 cloves garlic.
- Add them to mince in a pot.
- Add salt, chili and ginger powder (1/4 teaspoon each), and make small balls of the mince and put them aside.
- Fry onion till light brown in oil, add tomatoes thickly chopped, yogurt and coriander powder, cook for low flame for 15 minutes.
- Add rest of the ginger powder and finely chopped garlic and cook for 15minutes.
- Add mince balls in the curry and cook for 30 minutes or till the mince is cooked properly.
- If more gravy is required add 150ml water and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve with rice or bread.
