Memory: I was working in another job/career before the present one. I was always complaining about the other job and mother would say stop griping and do something -- find another job or go back to school. The other job had good payso it was not an easy decision.
When I saved enough, I went back to school. Mentioned to my mother what my new career would be and she said, "Hmmm. I seem to remember telling you in high school that this career would be the best fit for you. Why didn't you listen to your mother?"
Yes Natalka, mothers rule the world. Mothers know their children. Mother knows best.

My Mother died unexpectedly when I was 15.I wish it wasn't so and that I had more respect for her back then.
Remember your Mom this day and let her know just how much you love and appreciate her.Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

My mom lived with us for the last 8 years of her life. She had a stroke and was partially paralized but we decided to take her into our home. It wasnt easy. But it wasnt easy raising a child on their meagre income when they came to Canada either. She gave everything she had for me. There isnt a day that goes by that i dont think of her and miss her dearly. Happy Mother`s Day mom. I love you very much and always will.

On a happier note, today is also hubby`s b-day and he is 66 years old. Both of our grandsons are in AAA hockey tournaments too far from home for everyone to come home. So on Friday we celebrated Hoby`s b-day an Mother`s Day with our son and his family andon Tuesday we will celebrate with our daughter and her family.
Last night i took hubby out to the Casino for a buffet dinner and to play the slots. Hubby won $1,100 and change! He also received a bunch of golf shirts from son & his family.
Happy Mother`s Day to everyone!

Funny how our feelings for our mom changes over the years but we always know she is the one person who would do anything for us. She gave us life and she would give her life for her children. It takes years to really know how much our mothers mean to us. There are time where you don't feel she is on your side as she's discipling you, especially as a teenage when you're dealing with all those teenage angst as well. It is a blessing to have her at an age where you're thankful for her but even if she was lost before you reached that point, your mom loved you wholeheartedly above all else. I'm grateful that I still have my mom. I'm at the age where I know I can lose her and treasure the fact that she's still here for me.
Happy Mother's Day.The best things in life...aren't things
