No birthday love from Shoppers...again!

Wonder if the move to digital offers means bye-bye BD points. My offer came the week before my birthday (January) and I made sure I did not miss redeeming the coupon for it this year.

Another thing to inquire of Shoppers HQ?

No myself and a few others did end up getting bd points since the switch it was 4000 - last year was 8000 but free is free

Find a clearance item to buy or try a $1 scratch card. I actually bought a paper when I redeemed my BD coupon offer.

I got mine after my bday, but am still waiting for the points from it. I spent $11 on pointable items so not sure why they are not awarded yet. My BF shopped with his card at the same time and received his points in 2 days

Various outcome of Optimum points for our June birthdays.

June 6th Birthday
Receipt showed 1 digital points for birthday coupon. On purchases of small item, it showed as redeemed, but the points never got posted. On June 26th, Optimum was contacted and they confirmed a purchase & they saw the redeemed birthday coupon still online; thus, they forced the points. The redeemed coupon is still showing on the account.

June 8th Birthday
Receipt showed 1 digital points for birthday coupon. On purchases of small item, it showed as redeemed, but the points never got posted. On June 26th, Optimum was contacted and they confirmed a purchase & they saw the redeemed birthday coupon still online. Points were NOT forced. Instead, we were informed to wait 24 hours for correction. After 72 hours, the points were finally rewarded. The redeemed coupon is still showing on the account.

June 21st Birthday
Results of using birthday coupon was different compared to the prior 2 events.

4,000 birthday points showed immediately on the receipt. Immediately after, on receipt of the 2nd purchase, the receipt also showed 4,000 points. Both sets of 4,000 points (total 8,000) are still in the account. The redeemed coupon is still showing on the account.



In each situation above, the birthday transaction coupon was pre-loaded to the Optimum card.

I think Shoppers Optimum hasn't figured out how to correctly process the birthday coupons.
