I don't, but my son has sold (and bought) lots of things on kijiji, with very good luck - electronics like stereos, car stereos, speakers, gaming stuff, car parts, tires, etc. He's done quite well on some things, so yay for him!

Some people have good luck with online selling. Some people have bad luck. I remember that gentleman selling his car and ended up dead

I agree some transactions have been violent on the news...
- there are consignment stores who can sell on your behalf.
- Some local police are now welcoming transactions at or near the stations with video survellience to minimize fraud and bad transactions.

I've changed from Kijiji to selling on the local Facebook buy and sell sites... there is just something about being able to kind of see who it is you are dealing with up front first before meeting up with them. I have been purging throughout the house and selling quite a bit over the last year.
I also look on the sites before buying things brand new. I got a pretty much brand new yoga mat for $5, instead of spending $25 at the store and I picked up a huge decorative mirror for $20 compared to something similar at winners for $200.

DH and I bought a bigger house and we've had a good experience with Kijiji so far with buying and selling.
I found a table like this: http://www.allmodern.com/Console-Tab...W-VQY1168.html
for $100.
$25 for this http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/00182316/
$160 for this http://www.amerisonic.com/black-meta...ing-room-sets/
DH got a pool table for $60 incl. all the accessories.
Everything we bought were in good condition and clean.
We sold rug, bbq, table, gazebo frame, and have some items listed at the moment.
I keep checking everyday as the good stuff go quickly.

I have had some success selling DVDs on amazon. I prefer this site because Amazon handles the transaction. I just have to ship the item to the customer. They do charge a fee once your item has sold.
