I post about the deal but could not go to sdm even though it's on 5 minute walk.
I am assuming my sdm will also be out of stock for age defying body washes but what about the soap,

Yes, and I preferred bar soap on bodywash. Last week I bought one from Nofrill at same price with that $4 coupon no more existing lol.

heads up,, i was able to get olay age defying washes at shoppers, it reads on receipt as just olay body wash,, submitted to checkout 51 but was refused for the age defying offer, but able to claim the lower offer for body wash.

so im going to price match at walmart as i know how the receipt reads there

Plus on walmart receipt there is also UPC,so you never get refused at co51.

A similar thing happened to me a few months back, the CO51 offer was for Silk almond and I bought it at SDM and the receipt only said Silk beverage. I knew it was trouble the moment I saw the receipt. As expected, my receipt was rejected... after 4 days. I resubmitted a pic of the receipt AND the Silk almond product with UPC clearly shown and I got the cash back after 3 days.

If you buy the correct product and they reject your receipt, fight for it.

Of course it's not fun if it happens every so often so I tend to stick with stores that show UPC on receipt like NF, RCSS, Loblaws and WM.
Usual 'vague-receipt' culprits I've encountered include SDM, Metro, Food Basics, FreshCo and Dollarama.
