Local Nursery is starting to close down.
They had a 2 for 1 sale.
I went to get geraniums for dh's dad's gravesite.
They had none.
They had a whole rack of flats outside the main area. The girl said I could take my pick since they were going to the dump.
So - 4 flats of flowers that maybe can be saved. If not, no loss.
Lots of petunias and I have sunny areas to fill. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Right place right time Sad to hear of a nursery closing down though - they have to work so hard for such a small season.... hard business to make it work

Oh, dahliagrower - they are a seasonal nursery - so they open an extra location for the spring and summer. It was the extra location that is closing things down. But you are right - a couple of our more permanent nurseries HAVE closed over the last couple of years. Actually one of them had moved, brick by brick the old CPR train station to their property to be the nursery years ago when the train station closed. I don't know what will happen to the building now. (Did I mention that Chatham is not exactly a GROWING town?)

I love your brag, flowers are lovely.
It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.
