what small thing did we don today to save money?
research
research our next car
current old car is about 320000 km and starts at -10 celcius, no problem
we noticed that the three car dealers we like have a sale between April and August each year
the cars are discounted $3000 to $5000 in the Spring/Summer
sometimes, the head office has a 0% /84 month finance deal on top
we plan to get a 2016 car discounted
they will be bringing in the 2018 cars at that time
if they play games, we walk
like a said before the 320000 km car runs well
at -10 Celcius
what have you done to save on your 'new' car?
thanks!Last edited by Shwa Girl; Sun, Feb 12th, 2017 at 09:49 AM.

We ate leftovers tonight.
Ive also been watching for meats on sale and adding them to our freezer. (Counter productive on the eating things up so we dont have to move them).
Shoveled the deck a bit.

Came home after running around and made my lunch and a cup of tea instead of running through McD's or Timmies. Made a "Special" dinner for a friend totally from in-house supplies. Also gave her a bunch of things from the cupboard that dh had bought but I won't use.

Really didn't want to cook last night. But whipped up nachos quick. DS made a pizza later. Oldest ate leftover burger too. So the fridge is clean of leftovers!

I listened to my gut Well, actually I did that a a few weeks ago, but the payoff was this week...
I had some coupons expiring end of February for one of my favorite cheeses and found it on sale a few weeks ago. But the price was higher than I wanted to pay and I had a feeling there was a good chance I would find it for a better price before the coupons expired. Sure enough, another store had them on sale this week even cheaper Love when that happens!Last edited by Silk; Sat, Feb 18th, 2017 at 01:23 AM.

Only went to the grocery store once this week for kitty litter and cat food this week to use my coupons before they expired. I spent $3.51 and saved $4.02. As I didn't need anything else and I didn't impulse buy that was my total grocery bill for the week.

Picked up a DVD from the library, popcorn from the store and invited a friend over for movie night. The best part - no noise from other patrons that happens when you go to a theatre. I love putting the DVD on pause and going to the bathroom and not missing anything.
