We are on vacation, but still managed to use a coupon found in a tourist brochure for $2 off at a local cheese producer and I lucked out as Tues was 15% off for seniors over 55 for my small purchase at the local thrift store! Not that we aren't having some treats but nice to save on the little things. We are staying at a home exchange so no accomodation costs and little need to eat out other than as a treat-otherwise we hit the grocery store as we would at home.

I’ve been getting a low toner message for my printer the past few days. When the toner gets too low it basically locks the printer until you put a new toner cartridge in even though there is actually still toner in the cartridge. Today I did a hack I found online years ago for my printer which turns the toner sensor off. In the past this has allowed me to print up to an additional 100 pages (text) before having to buy a new cartridge!

Depending on the type of toner cartridge, give it a good shake and you may be able to get more life out of it.

It should be interesting to save money for the next 10 days as DH is on holidays.

Got a senior's discount at the vet's today. (Thank-goodness - unexpected expense - but lucky for our doggie!)

Frugal? Let's see, I took back a baby gift to exchange today and found that the replacemet gift had been reduced so I got a nicer gift for less. Procrastination pays sometimes!

We read our gas meter to save money.
Our gas bill went down since last year. We are on the equal billing plan and usually get our final gas bill in June. We read the gas meter each month and send in the reading to Enbridge. We review the usage they say on each bill to see how we are doing compared to last year. We are paying $5 less per month compared to last year.

Years ago, I received empty envelopes from a card store for free. They only have to send back the cards, not the envelopes. I use them to mail almost everything.

I'm on a good roll today.... Made and brought to work my coffee, breakfast and lunch! On the weekend we planned meals with food on hand. Made do with what we had for salad etc (and picked cherry tomatoes from the back yard.
(Except for Sun we went to friends house and brought stuff to make Chicken tetrazinie but had to grab a few things-still cheaper then going out for dinner! ) Made do with what we had for salad etc (and picked cherry tomatoes from the back yard)

I downgraded my phone plan because I was paying for features that I no longer need or use.

Yesterday I spent nothing, made $35.00 for a FB sale but spent too much today at a roadside fruit and vegetable stand but it was money well spent. They gave me a free freezer bag too which is really nice.

We used up left-overs as side dishes and grilled 2 pork chops from our freezer for a yummy supper. I made apple sauce from apples that were starting to soften. Good all around and very inexpensive.
