I'm not sure it qualifies as a "company", but I did have a home-business when my Mom lived with us in her declining years, when I stayed home. I had a floral business, making all wedding flowers, bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, cake tops, etc, in fresh and "silk" flowers. I never had to advertise, my customers were all word-of-mouth, and OMG, I just loved it when my brides saw their flowers for the first time!! It always felt like Christmas! Because of my arthritis, I couldn't keep going, but it was such a nice few years and my Mom, who worked for a florist many years before loved to help.....good times...

I've always wanted to own my own business. I'd love to open a boutique style makeup shop with natural hand-crafted cosmetics. I've always loved all the natural handmade cosmetics you find at craft shows and the farmers market. My favorite item right now is a goats milk soap from a local farmer at the farmers market Rather than traditional advertising, I'd attend a lot of arts festivals/craft fairs/trade shows so that you would actually get the products into peoples hands.
In reality, I'm more likely to co-own a plumbing company with DH. I have lots of ideas for that business as well when he is ready to take the plunge into being a business owner
