I was lucky to get for free some stuff from clearance at SDM in Kitchener-Waterloo area: 2 protein shakes and Revlon lash curler. Sticker price didn't match price in their system.

Well consider yourself lucky because the Scanning /Code of Practice does not apply to price-ticketed items! http://www.competitionbureau.gc.ca/e...eng/01262.html
Now obviously they would have to give it to you for the lower (ie ticketed price) but they don't have to give it to you for free.

It was Sportzone Soy Protein and Revlon lash curler. So maybe cashiers don't know new policy .....

It is not a new policy, that is the Scanning Code of Practice? So now you are familiar with and know that it doesn't apply to stickered items. Originally Posted by Little_Winter

I received 2 SCOP at a SDM on Wed. night...... Playtex plate set and "Frozen" lip balm set. Could have had another 3 or 4 items free as well.
