The surplus does not include the UCCB payments that were backdated after the first quarter

I hear you. However, tell that to the Germans that continue to get flack for the Holocaust.

Ipsos poll put the NDP in the lead by 3.7 %

thing is they mentioned in their breakdown that there is uneven distribution of the result across the nation. Nanos has began switching to monitoring on a provincial level to get a clearer picture. Incidentally they put the conservatives in the lead right now....I dont trust Nanos polls and Ipsos as much but Ipsos did note that the polling is getting harder to gauge...

Ipsos were one of the ones that got it so wrong in the UK Election, so I can see them being more careful
So much can change with so long left in the election too.

I like CBC's Poll Tracker from 308's Eric Grenier because he weights the polls based on numerous factors and shows the margin of error

Even with the NDP polling higher, he shows the Cons could still end up with more seats (as could the Libs if they got the max, but very unlikely)

A big issue with the polling is the mass rezoning of ridings that has thrown everything off. its why some pollsters like Nanos have started polling on a provincial level as well

It seems there are many veterans who are really pushing the "Anyone But Conservatives" movement.

    - Lifetime pension for veterans is stopped
    - 9 Veterans Affairs offices were closed
    - 25% of the staff was cut at Veterans Affairs
    - $1.1 Billion allocated for veterans was hoarded
    - An imposed 8 months waiting time for veterans with mental health issues
    - Staggering number of soldier suicides.

Where is the outrage about this from the other parties? Why aren't they defending veterans being slandered like this?

Since when are veterans 'mercenaries' or similar to Nazi brownshirts???

The Mayor of Oakville, Ontario used his official city Twitter address, to express dissatisfaction with the Conservative Party. The Tories were hiring former military members to provide additional security for the Prime Minister at party events. One tweet wrote: “any political parties had private police using veterans before”? The Mayor then posted two links to Wikipedia– 0ne to the Stumbandabteiling (Nazi Brown Shirts) who provided paramilitary protection for Adolf Hitler.

Rob Burton @Oakville Mayor This goes too far. Conservatives beef up campaign security with mercenaries http://www.insideottawavalley.com/news-story/5817770-conservatives-beef-up-campaign-security/ … via @bmptguardian

He's given an apology to veterans, but needs to do the same to the Conservative party

He is a Liberal, he will not apologize to the Conservatives and has said so several times.

But in Oakville, people have long memories and it would not surprise me if he was defeated at the next municipal election if they run a decent candidate against him.
