One month into the federal election campaign, the three major parties remain right where they were at the start: locked in a three-way race.
Here are the latest weekly ballot tracking numbers from Nanos Research, with the percentage-point change from the previous week in brackets:

    • NDP: 30.8 per cent (+1.7)
    • Conservatives: 28.8 per cent (-1.3)
    • Liberals: 29.7 per cent (-0.2)

One of the comments after the article

Not surprising at all. Why would any separatist bother voting Bloc in this election, when they know full well that they can do far more damage to Canada from the inside by electing separatists under the NDP banner?

I feel compelled to point out this is a national poll. national polls are becoming increasingly unreliable while provincial polls are starting to be used more

    You missed my point

provincial polls, poll the people about the federal election and then add up the net result. it gives a much wider range of voters than most national polls. Most of the polls havent even factored in the mass rezoning of ridings which is a major factor in this election

The economist seems to know a lot about money that perhaps you and I don't.

His only real job was ever in a mailroom, he is a career politician with a worth of $5,000,000.

I'm a hard worker and as frugal as can be, and I don't even have a measly million to my name

Maybe he can give us some tips!

If that's true, that he has a personal net worth of $5 million, well you know he's got to know a bit about money to pull that off.

His employment history - much more than the one job you mention, and I couldn't even find that reference.

    http://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.c...joseph-harper/

Just as an example, he was an executive assistant to an MP. One of my brothers-in-law had that same position fpr our local MP and it is indeed a 'real', more than full-time, difficult job.

And yay to him for having $5 million in worth (couldn't find a citation that wasn't a 'guess') - that's actually reasonable considering his work and intelligence. I would imagine he's made good investments. Besides, a home in Calgary is probably worth much more than $1 m.

Still they call Trudeau the spoiled child with a silver spoon in his mouth. His inheritance wasn't nearly that much.

Interesting contrast between here and the U.S. where you pretty much have to be a billionaire or multi-millionaire to even run.

I am glad it's not about money(personal wealth) here. At least "ordinary Canadians" can still dream of one day becoming PM.

I agree, Patty - and I don't think that of Trudeau and the money. However, I think others do because there is inherited money, rather than money worked for.

Former PM Paul Martin - when he was in, net worth estimate was $225 million. Now, that's a rich dude - and not inherited, he worked for it and invested in businesses, etc.
